Quintain to deliver over 700 new homes in Adamstown

Quintain has received planning permission to construct 235 new homes at Aderrig in Adamstown, West Dublin. The 17 acre site will include 159 houses and 76 apartments set in communal green open spaces, as well as being adjacent to Airlie Park and Tandy’s Lane Park.

The site has a gross development value in excess of €80m and construction is targeted to commence in April with the first homes coming to market in October 2021. Aderrig is located beside Quintain’s Tandy’s Lane Village and Somerton phase 2 developments, and combined the three schemes will deliver over 700 new homes, helping to address the shortage of properties in the area.

The second phase of Quintain’s Somerton development, where 237 homes are being constructed, is due to go on sale shortly through agents Savills.

Michael Hynes, Joint Managing Partner of Quintain Ireland, said: “We are very pleased for our latest development in Adamstown to receive planning permission adding a further 235 new homes to this vibrant community. With green open spaces, access to schools, and excellent retail amenities nearby, Aderrig will be a lasting community for families to call home.

“With Aderrig now planning approved, construction at Tandy’s Lane due to commence shortly, and Somerton phase 2 under construction, Quintain has a pipeline of over 700 much needed new homes for the Adamstown area in progress.”

Construction of 245 new homes at Tandy’s Lane is due to commence once the public health restraints on construction activity are lifted, having received planning permission in July 2020.

The first phase of Tandy’s Lane will include over 2 acres of green open space, while there is also provision for the construction of a new national school to serve future residents. The development is located near the amenities of Lucan town centre, as well as transport links offered by the M4 and N4 and Adamstown rail station.

The 245 planned new homes for Tandys Lane include 214 houses, 16 duplexes and 15 apartments, comprising a range of houses and apartments.
