The project includes changes to the N8, the N25 and the N40 and links to the R623 in Little Island and Bury’s Bridge in Dunkettle while also making provision for pedestrian and cyclist facilities.

Paul Brown, COO, UK Construction and Civil Engineering, John Sisk & Son said: “John Sisk & Son has been involved at the Dunkettle Interchange Upgrade Scheme since 2018. Sisk has reached an advanced stage in the Enabling Works Phase and are looking forward to continuing our relationship with TII (Transport Infrastructure Ireland). • Two roundabouts – two at the grade separated junction
  • 24 Primary structures and various other ancillary structures of various forms
  • Several culverts where the scheme crosses watercourses or intertidal areas
  • Intelligent Transport Systems
  • Pedestrian and cyclist facilities
