AE Global are committed to maintaining their status at the forefront of their industry, aligned with their international accreditations and they are ready to start their export services to the States.

Kieran Connor commented; “AE Global are delighted to be associated with such a prestigious trade mission to the States and we look forward to meeting potential clients that will enable us to generate new leads for clients in the States. Our business has grown over the years on the strength of our reputation, and the fact that our export has increased by 25% in the last year alone, it is down to the success of gaining new clients in the pharma and aqua-culture markets in the UK with a view to expanding into the US. The development of a new database programme targeting traceability to enable fast turnaround of IQ documentation in the pharmaceutical industries is what makes us stand out to clients. As a manufacturer of high end pipe engineering products we also provide everything from design to procurement, installation and commission to electrical and instrumentation. We have already identified opportunities for collaborative projects between companies, institutions in the US in skid design and manufacturing to service and we are very confident that we will build an American export opportunity.”

Global Estimators based in Ireland’s Donegal Gaeltacht, already service multimillion construction projects across America and Europe. This trade mission will introduce their Global Estimating business to a wider audience and allow them to tender for large construction estimating jobs in the greater Boston area and beyond. Global Estimators specialise in construction cost estimating, providing an unbeatable service in cost estimation for large and small-scale projects both local and international. Using the latest in computer technology to calculate, display and provide materials lists and costs for contractors in the building industry along with their friendly staff has drawn companies to work with them.

Eamonn Gallagher, Managing Director of Global Estimators, said, “Using state of the art construction estimating software allows us to reduce the amount of time it takes to cost estimate a project by up to 30%, it allows us access to plans, instantly helping us to bid more work in less time. We can share large scale project plans online with the subcontractors and we can work from any location at any time. In fact, the time difference between us and our clients in the States is an advantage. We have a report on all of the costings waiting in our clients inbox by the time they start work the next day. We Face Time or Skype our meetings in the afternoons and it feels like the client is in the office with us. Our software allows us to integrate easily from measurements to materials and, combined with our teams framing experience and client base, this gives us huge advantages in the industry.”

“One of the most important factors now for our business is connectivity. We can access markets in the states rapidly. The US is already our largest export market and it has been growing year on year, due to the service we provide, our competitive edge and offering, our industry knowledge and our proven track record of delivering”.

Both companies pride themselves on being reliable and professional companies with many years of experience in the construction industry. Commenting on the trade mission Kieran Connor said “the US dollar makes Irish exports massively competitive at present. The fact that we are getting a chance to meet and network with potential clients knowing that we will be cost competitive, will be our primary focus for this trip”.

15 businesses from across the Northwest region of Ireland will be participating in an overseas trade mission with a view to expanding or further expanding their business in the US market this week.
