IDA Ireland launches ‘Invest in Cork’

IDA Ireland has launched ‘Invest in Cork’, the eight phase of its digital marketing initiative for attracting inward investment by highlighting the specific attributes of individual regional urban centres.

‘Invest in Cork ’ is an interactive experience designed for use on tablet, smartphone and PC.

Information on location, education, lifestyle and existing IDA client companies and indigenous companies is provided through rich images, video and text which will be continuously updated.  The website allows IDA executives to showcase Cork in face-to-face client meetings.

Cork is particularly strong across a number of FDI business clusters including Life Sciences, Technology and Global Business Services. The Life Sciences sector includes global names such as Pfizer, GSK, Eli Lilly, Stryker, Janssen, Novartis,  DePuy Synthes, Gilead Sciences, GE Healthcare and Abbvie, while there are over fifty Technology companies in Cork including companies such as Apple, Dell, VMWare, Logitech, IBM, Intel Security, Trend Micro, Alps Electric, Flextronics, Qualcomm , Solarwinds, EMC  and RedHat. These international brands are an attraction for additional overseas companies to potentially locate to the Cork Region.  In addition, Cork has a growing cluster in Global Business Services and International Financial Services companies with companies such as BNY Mellon , Citco, Hedgeserv, Clearstream, Amazon,  and Otterbox, among others. The Marine & Energy sector is another growing sector with a number of related businesses and research groups.
