Energia motoring along with deal to light M50

Operator of the M50 motorway, M50 Concession Ltd, has signed a major new electricity supply contract with competitive electricity provider Energia.

The deal is worth €750,000 annually and will see Energia supply power to the M50 Motorways road lighting which has a load of over 1 Megawatt.

M50 Concession Ltd operate and maintain the M50 motorway from the M1 to the M11, providing a 24-hour emergency response and vehicle recovery service, patrols on the motorway, together with routine and cyclic maintenance operations.

Fraser Boyd, Operations Manager, M50 Concession Ltd, commented, “Electricity is crucial to our management and maintenance of the M50. We looked for an established supplier who could offer us a competitive tariff and attentive customer service. That is why we chose Energia for this new 5.5 gigawatt annual supply deal.
