The Minister said:

The Government’s plans for jobs and growth are aimed not only at supporting the exporting parts of the economy but also facilitating the increase in domestic demand that we so badly need. Today’s very welcome announcement by Vodafone that it is increasing its workforce by 113, with the new roles focused on its domestic business, is the latest sign of increasing confidence in the domestic economy. I wish Vodafone every success with this project.

Vodafone will be recruiting candidate skill sets from entry to managerial level. Most of the 51 contract positions will be for one to two-year duration and will commence from the 1st of April. Vodafone current has 1,100 permanent employees in the Republic of Ireland.
