Four separate companies announce 230 jobs

Three technology companies and an entertainment group have announced expansion plans that will see over 230 jobs created.

The companies include Microsoft, which is creating 95 jobs at its Irish-based operations in Dublin.

Microsoft currently employs over 1,900 full-time and contract staff in Ireland in a wide range of business areas.

The new jobs will include 30 in software development roles, 35 positions for new graduates, with a further 30 people already being recruited for roles in sales and the company’s overseas operations centre.

Dublin-based mobile marketing company Brandtone is investing over €2 million in a research and development programme, which will create 29 jobs.

Roscommon-based telecoms firm, FCS Global, is to expand its training, engineering and US operations, creating ten new jobs.

Elsewhere, two new entertainment venues in Dublin will create 100 jobs.

The Wright Bar Group is investing over €800,000 in developing new businesses in Swords and the Airside Retail Park.

The group, which has chain of nine bars and restaurants and one nightclub in Dublin, already employees over 350 people. Source: RTE News
