IDA Ireland launches new advertising campaign

IDA Ireland has officially launched its new advertising campaign, aimed primarily at the US market.

The campaign will be rolled out across TV, and digital platforms in the US this week, starting with Bloomberg and CNBC followed byvarious other media platforms such as Economist.com, and via influential tech-based media like Techcrunch and Venture Beat.  A social media campaign will follow in the coming weeks.

This is IDA Ireland’s new advertising campaign and will replace its previous Innovation Ireland campaign.

In the campaign well- known traditional ideas about Ireland are used to draw attention to many of the newer aspects of Ireland that are hugely attractive to foreign direct investors.

The advert shows how Irish culture and heritage have had a positive effect on Ireland’s corporate environment, making it a great place for business- in short, What makes Ireland great, makes Ireland great for business.

Some of the specific parallels include talking about the Irish imagination and our litany of famous writers.   Ireland is a nation of great writers, storytellers and artists with great imagination.   Ireland’s innovative thinking and creativity is something which is sought by leading global companies.

IDA Ireland will focus its media buying to reach C-suite executives within the agency’s target sectors of Information Technology, Financial Services, Life Sciences and Digital Media.

Barry O’Leary, CEO at IDA Ireland said:  “The advertisement aims to reflect the energy and vibrancy of the Irish population as well as our openness to fresh thinking and innovation.”

“The advert concentrates on Ireland’s business friendly environment and growing technology sector and refers many of global brands with a presence here.”

The advert storyline focuses on the things that have always made Ireland great – creativity, friendliness, flexible thinking, warmth and ties these attributes to making business work”
