New Chairman for Arthur Cox

Mr. Ciaran Bolger has been appointed as Chairman of Arthur Cox with effect from 1 May.  A partner in the firm’s corporate department, Mr Bolger joined the firm in 1992 and has been a partner since 1997.

He replaces Eugene McCague, who has completed his two terms as Chairman having previously served as Managing Partner and will return to full-time client work on 1 May.

The Managing Partner of Arthur Cox, Brian O’Gorman, today congratulated Ciaran Bolger on his election. “Ciaran is an outstanding lawyer who has made a major contribution to the firm over the years. It is a great honour for Ciaran to be chosen by his peers. We are very fortunate to have a partner of Ciaran’s talent, integrity and commitment to replace Eugene.”

“Eugene has made an exceptional contribution to Arthur Cox, both as Managing Partner and latterly as Chairman. He will continue to do so as he returns to full-time client work. On behalf of everyone here I want to thank Eugene for so successfully combining exceptional client work with his leadership roles for over a decade.”
