Nextag opens International Headquarters in Ireland

Nextag, Inc., the largest independent comparison shopping company and part of the Wize Commerce Shopping Network, is setting up its new international headquarters in Drogheda, Ireland. The announcement was made by IDA Ireland and Fergus O’Dowd, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Energy & Natural Resources and Environment. Nextag currently operates web sites in nine countries across the globe, in some of the fastest growing e-commerce markets. 7 November 2012 

Irish Building Magazine was informed that Nextag is currently recruiting staff from the local region to work at the headquarters in Drogheda, just 40 miles north of Dublin and home to a dynamic and growing talent base of technology and e-commerce professionals.

Making the announcement, Minister of State, Fergus O’Dowd said: “Today’s announcement that Nextag Inc is establishing its international headquarters in Drogheda with the creation of a number of internet commerce related jobs is another vote of confidence for the area and great news for Ireland. With the support of the IDA, we are proving to be the perfect place for US-based technology companies to locate their International operations”.

The investment is supported by the Irish Government Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland, the Government agency responsible for the attraction and development of foreign investment in Ireland.

IDA Ireland understands the company will create up to 125 positions over the next 5 years.
